The National Christian Schools Games is held every 2 years.
It was last held in May 2017 in Sydney and will be held again in 2019 on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of Expressions of Interest forms being returned, the decision was made by the Committee to not field any teams this year. This is obviously very disappointing, and the committee will reassess this position for future games.
Sports being offered at the Games are Football (Soccer), boys and girls; Basketball, boys and girls; Tennis, boys and girls; and Netball, girls only.
Western Australia will fill teams dependant on successful nominations and trials. Approx costs per athlete are $2000-$2500.
All students enrolled in a CSA, CEN or SCEA school are eligible to nominate for selection.
To check if your school is a member school, see:
and search under listed member schools.
For competition in 2019, nominations for selection of coaches
and athletes will be taken in late 2018.

In 2001, students from Christian Schools across Australia came together to compete in the National Christian Schools Sports Championship in Swimming & Basketball. In 2011 Football (Soccer) was included and in 2013 the National Christian Schools Sports Championships took on a new format known as the National Christian Schools Games to be held every 2 years with multiple sports played over 4 days. In 2015 sports played in the National Christian Schools Games were: Swimming, Athletics, Basketball, Football (Soccer) and Tennis.
In 2017, a greater focus was placed on team sports as many athletes found the cost too prohibitive for just one race. Team sports gave athletes the opportunity to compete throughout the week in a round robin format with finals on the last day.
Netball and Senior Volleyball was added with Swimming and Athletics not being run.
After each event, the National Organising Committee review the competition and listen to feedback from athletes and schools to determine what will be planned for the future.
The National Christian School Sport Association's vision has been to hold a high quality sporting carnival that would honour God and as well as recognize excellence in student sporting endeavour.
Our priority is to talk to the students about their relationship with Jesus and to challenge their priorities in life so that they bring glory and honour to God in whatever they do.
