EVENT:         Primary Basketball

DATE:               Friday, 13th August, 2021

VENUE:             Bendat Basketball Stadium, Floreat

COMPETITORS:  Year 6 Boys, Year 6 Girls & Year 5 Boys & Girls Mixed

                       (You may only bring one team per age group).

TIMES:                                                                                                                              

• 9.40am - Teacher meeting

• 9.50am – Welcome

• 10.00am – Competition Begins

• 1.45pm – Presentations

• 2.00pm – Close and Dismiss

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Each team needs to have an adult supervisor (either teacher or parent)

• Normal Basketball rules apply. A ‘half court-defence’ agreement if one team is running away with score.

• Your teams must be set at the start of the day – especially for those bringing 2 teams in one category (no interchanging teams).

• Schools to wear matching basketball singlets (Preferably with numbers.)

• One scorer per team (Can be parent or student)

• One umpire per team attending. (must be an adult or senior student)

• Schools to supply their own First Aid

• Teachers please advise parents about NOT making comments to the umpires regarding calls, if there is a concern parents must speak with the appropriate teacher or carnival coordinator.

• ALL GAMES WILL BE CENTRALLY AND AUTOMATICALLY TIMED BY STADIUM, - please make sure that you are aware of where your team is meant to be playing for each timeslot!

• Games will consist of 2 x 10min halves, 2 mins half time break and 3mins changeover between games.
